1877 - Quaker Oats registered as the first trademark for a breakfast cereal.
1922 - Quaker Oats introduces Quick Quaker Oats.
1966 - Quaker Instant Oatmeal makes its entrance onto the marketplace.
1981- Quaker introduces their Quaker Chewy® chewy granola bars

> Rolled oats are crushed grains of oat that have been rolled into flakes under heavy rollers
> Oat ancestry is the wild red oat, a plant of Asian origin.
> Steel-Cut oats are whole crushed grains of oat cut into smaller pieces.The oat grains are hulled, steamed, and typically roasted. Steel blades then chop them up into two or three pieces. They are not as "processed". Sometimes called Irish or Scotch oats.
